Paternoster is a quaint fisherman's village just off the Westcoast of my amazingly stunning hometown Cape Town. The destination is known to bring about calm and serenity to anyone looking for that perfect escape. With the beach a few meters away and my gorguess surroundings you would think I am relaxed and in heaven right? Not! Right now I feel quite the contrary. Beautiful and normally sunny skied Paternoster decided to literally leave me in the dark with only a wild and very exaggerative imagination at 1:37 in the AM; delightful of her is it not? Well by now it goes without saying that I am scared out of my mind…! Each and every thump makes my heart skip a beat...Oh hunny right now I can tell you all about things that go bump in the night. I’m sweating so much that I am pretty sure that I could bath a small army with these puppies! The wind is howling and the house creaking... down the road you won’t find a single streetlamp burning! The sound of the giant waves drawing nearer is not as soothing as one would think. It sounds to me like mother nature could be pissed off!a Second ago an overly friendly spider decided to join me on my bed and while squishing the little critter I start to wonder how many of them are just waiting to pounce me the moment I close my very heavy eyes….eeeek! Ok the crème de la crème is that I just remembered that there is a very old cemetery literally just a stone throw away and I guess all those ghost stories I used to love as a child has come back to haunt me! Tell me is this not enough to make anyone go a little cookoo?!.... Suddenly a stroke of genius hit me and I have to confess at first I opened my laptop just to provide some much needed light.Dear reader I have always loved scribbling down my thoughts but just like it does with so many other things, life got in the way!Suddenly I had an epiphany and right here during the ungodly hours and in the very dark town of Paternoster I have decided to start blogging. So this is why I can say the following with great pleasure: “welcome to Salt ladies and gents, I hope you enjoyed my tale of finding light in a dark situation”

Chateau De Lille

I am so excited about decorating my bedroom and because I'm trying to create a romantic atmosphere I've drawn inspiration from the French...

The blue paint on the walls creates such a relaxing/calm atmosphere.I actually opted for a dove blue on my own walls

The mirrored cupboard is quite exceptional! Will one day own a piece like this

The green bed is surprizingly stunning, Luuurve how the colours mesh together!

The inexpensive decor is simple yet elegant !

I'M FEELING BLUE

+   Royal Blue is heating up the Red Carpet and Catwalk...Im loving the colour!
